Experienced urologists & clinical teams

The Urology Department brings together a group of highly trained doctors and staff to provide the latest treatments for illness affecting the urinary tract, including:

  • prostate cancer and benign prostate enlargement
  • kidney and ureteric stones
  • bladder, kidney and testicular cancer
  • pelvic floor
  • continence
  • vasectomy

Peninsula Private Hospital has the latest technologies available to support the specialists and doctors in the treatment of complex cancers of the urinary tract, stone disease, pelvic floor reconstruction and incontinence.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Also known as enlarged prostate, BPH can cause frustrating symptoms for men. This includes frequent urination, hesitancy in urination, urgency to urinate and a weak urinary stream.

TURP, or transurethral resection of the prostate, is a common surgical procedure used to treat urinary problems caused by an enlarged prostate, by removing tissue from the prostate through the urethra.
